Website Domain & Hosting Setup
If this is your first website, you'll need two things for your online presence: a domain name and a hosting account. A domain name is your website address. Typically, businesses use ".com" names while organizations use ".org" although this isn't a strict requirement.
Maybe you already have an idea of the domain name you'd like, but have you checked to see if it's available? Most of the really good domain names have been taken. Still, there are some creative ways to get a good name. Most domain names can be purchased for less than $20 per year.
A hosting account is basically renting space on someone's web server to store you website and make it available to Internet users. A minimal hosting account costs about $50 per year. Depending upon what you want from your website you may get by with the cheapest account or you may need to step up to the next level, usually two or three dollars more per month.
We can advise you as to the most cost-effective web hosting service and type of hosting account your website will require as well as give you tips on choosing a domain name for your site. We can do the work of setting up both of these components for you for a one-time charge of $50 (in addition to the above costs).
Website Design
We can provide you with a home page plus two additional standard pages for $199. This includes all the initial design for the look and feel (layout and colors) of the site, including any image/photo manipulation needed and layout of the site navigation, as well as implementing your exisiting logo or one of our stock logos. Note: If you need a custom logo we also offer a Logo Design Service at an additional fee.
The two additional pages can not contain any special forms, scripts or shopping cart links or anything that would require more than the insertion of text, links and images without incurring additional charges.
Additional pages (after the first three) are priced according to content. Pages with your images and text, as above, are only $20/page. Pages containing custom forms, tables, custom graphics, flash animation, slide shows, buy buttons (shopping cart), etc. will be charged according to the scope of work required. A user editable event calendar can be added for the price of an additional page.
You have the option of choosing a style and color scheme for the website or you can leave it all up to us. We do ask that you provide us with any promotional or advertising materials, or anything that we can use to help your visitors know who you are and what you do.
Want to sell some products online? No problem. For an additional charge we can set the site up for you to do just that using PayPal or Google Checkout (or both) or even Amazon.com. Once the site is ready, we will upload all pages and scripts (if any) to your web host's server and make sure everything is working properly. Your site will officially be "online."
We also do redesigns of existing websites. If you have an existing site but would like to change the layout, contact us.
Note: We prefer to do website design projects with no more than 150 pages total. We aren't equipped to take on large e-stores or 500 page websites but we will gladly refer you to someone who can.
Website Maintenance
If your site is one that we created for you and it needs content updated only occasionally, we can take care of it for you for a small fee. Simply email us with your text and images and we will update your web page's content for only $8 per page for up to two pages or $7 per page for three or more pages. If you need to make multiple changes to the site daily or weekly we can give you a special monthly price to take care of these changes.
Lastly, if you would rather make the changes yourself, we can add a page content editor to the website for $99. You can login to the editor, pick the page you want and edit the wording or photos. The editor is similar to a word processor.
