Forms and Database Design Services
Computer Forms/Database Design
Many businesses purchase their forms from retail printers either in loose form or in tablets or booklets - these can be quite costly. Also, if changes later need to be made to the form's layout, any existing forms still in stock can become obsolete and will have to be discarded. This is a waste of both money and paper.
If you're tired of purchasing costly pre-printed forms or filling out the same paper form over and over by hand, we can help. We can re-create most forms in an editable computer file format (Excel, Word, Access, PDF, etc.) for a very reasonable charge. The new computer form will look very much like the original paper form.
If you need to save the information entered into the form, there are several ways to do so. You can save the form with a different file name each time you fill it out, or just send it to your printer and put the resulting paper form in a file folder for later use.
Better yet, we can create a database that will save the information as a separate record each time you fill in the information. It takes us more time to create a database and thus costs more, but it requires less storage space on your hard drive than individual files and you don't have to worry about accidently overwriting an exisitng saved form. Also, more forms can be created and added later using the same software.
A simple one page, editable computer form starts at $39 and can be created as either a Microsoft Word document, a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or as a .pdf (Portable Document Format) file. The same form created as a Microsoft Access database costs as little as $79. These prices depend upon the amount of information on the form and the number of actual fields needed.
If you don't have Microsoft Office (with Word, Excel, Access) you don't need to spend $300 or more to purchase it. For $3 (the cost of a cd and time to burn it) we will provide you with a totally compatible, open source office suite called OpenOffice.org. Or, if you have a broadband internet connection and 15 or 20 minutes to spare, you can download the program for free at www.openoffice.org.
